    Default Farquhar MORRISON, Aberdeen b c1879

    This man's request for replacement discharge documents are filed (in the WW1 Service Records, WO 363) with the records of a Charles MARTIN.
    MARTIN & MORRISON may be the same man, but no mention is made of an alias.
    Perhaps this is a simple mis-file:

    Farquhar MORRISON:
    Filed a request for replacement docs on 19 June 1939, aged 59 years;
    Home address: Oldmill Hospital, Aberdeen.
    Service (first engagement, so served in WW1 - possibly as MARTIN?): Jan 1897-1909, as Private 5727 Cameronian Scottish Rifles.

    So do we have two men with the same name, born in the same place and year or one man with 2 reference numbers for his birth registration.

    There's a 4581 Pte Farquhar Morisson of the 3 Battn Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders with all 3 basic WW1 medals became unfit on 18 Apr 1915 and is on the Silver War Badge list(badge 153358). His SWB card says that he enlisted 27 Sept 1898, discharged unfit on 18 Apr 1915. wound under para 392 (xvi) KR. Had served overseas.

    Service numbers back then changed as soldiers changed regiments
