Newbie here - I have been researching my family tree on and off for a few years, during lockdown I have picked it up again to help me stop twiddling my thumbs.

Plenty of skeletons in my family closet to corroborate

There's nothing our sleuths like better than a good skeleton, so find a suitable forum and get posting.

Don't forget to say things such as (a) names, dates, places, etc, plus (b) all of the details you already know. In the case of (a) you know your great grandfather was called Zebedee Flipflop but we don't so you need to tell us his name as well as the relationship. And in (b) people can spend considerable time searching and it's disheartening to then find out it's stuff you already know.
