Hi

Re: William Henry Troth 1837 - 1929

I have hit a brick wall with this one. From his NSW death certificate 1929/012514, I know his father is a Painter called William John Troth. Mother’s details were not recorded.
Birthplace - Birmingham, England. Death 18 Jul 1929 @ Belmore, Sydney, NSW, Australia aged 91.

From his mother-in-laws family bible, he is recorded as “William Harry Troth born 7th August 1837 parish St John Birmingham England” ‘husband’ of “Maria Bruchman born 20 April 1853 Glashutte Holstein Germany”.

William and Maria went on to have 10 kids together in Austraia, but they never married as Maria’s first husband - Claus Heinrich/Henry Dwenger 1839–1911, was still alive.

Is there any way of knowing which church may have baptism records for him as we know his birth occurred parish of St John, Birmingham on 7 Aug 1837?

I can’t find any baptism record on ancestry or findmypast that fits.

Also, he is not to be confused with a William Henry Troth from West Bromwich. That William marries locally and does not emigrate.

Any help with this to identify his parents would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Lee
