Hi All
I hope you are all ok , a new project for me and our village , I have asked local residents for their stories etc about the village during WW2 , many surprises all ready .
A common thread has been , seeing 'downed' aircraft in and around the village , as of yet we can not verify any of this , can the forum point me in the right direction , surely there was records kept of crashes etc , they appear to be always German aircraft.
Our village of Newington next sittingbourne , is in North kent .
thanks
Dean

Great idea!
One place to start might be the local papers?

Aircrash site
Hi Dean
I think you might find this site very useful: https://aircrashsites.co.uk/category/air-crash-sites/. Use the drop-down menu and you will find many categories. Let us know if you find anything relevant to your researches.
Off to roost now (in a well shielded branch!).

Have a look for CWGC graves in the area. Even though people died in the UK, they were sometimes buried local to their death rather than a graveyard close to their family.
