I am researching the family of John Talbot of Weston by Welland, Northamptonshire. The burial records show he died in April 1623. Being a freeholder I am sure he left a will and finding the contents of the will would probably give information on who in the family he left his money to.I am hoping someone can help me with this. Many Thanks.

Findmypast has two entries in its Northamptonshire and Rutland Probate Index, one as John Talbot, the other as John Talbott.
Both records describe him as a yeoman of Weston by Welland and are dated 1623, but the archive references differ. This might mean there is more than one document or set of documents.
Enquiries can be made to the Northamptonshire Family History Society
info (AT) northants-fhs.org
or direct to Northamptonshire Archives and Heritage Office
archivist (AT) northamptonshire.gov.uk
They are both presently closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak but both seem to be taking enquiries by email.
