Josephine Allen Strong was the niece of my husband's great grandmother Josephine Allen- born 1865 in Nottinghamshire and sister to Louise Allen. Local newspaper archives show that Frederick Allen the Excelsior Circus proprietor sold the circus and retired to Morpeth where he married Jane Fulton and became a publican. I have photos of his tombstone and a newspaper entry regarding Louisa Allens death in 1947 where she is referred to as Mrs Louisa Bennett. This must be her third marriage. I would like to get in touch with jodifish to share private photos.
