    Hi Rose,

Welcome to Brit-Gen where we hope you'll settle in and enjoy all that the site has to offer.

Are you looking for some help with your research? If so, tell us what help you'd like and give as much information as you can for each ancestor.

Wishing you happy hunting and good luck with your research.

I have moved the original post re McAneney to a thread of its own in the South Africa forum here
    https://www.british-genealogy.com/fo...o-South-Africa
As you can see I have given it the Title McAneney to South Africa. If needs be later it can be moved again.
I have also moved the Aston Tighe posts to the NZ forum with the title Aston and Tighe to NZ here
    https://www.british-genealogy.com/fo...nd-Tighe-to-NZ
If your subjects for research have their own threads it will make it easier for us to follow them.

Ok So I mucked up and moved instead of copying Rose's thread so here is what she originally posted.
Sorry Rose, and I am now wondering whether to tackle a merge. !! That's what I get for trying to be smart. I think I will go back to lockdown!

    Hello
I live in NZ and I am researching the following families: Aston, Tighe, McAneney and Stuart.

In particular on my father's side I start with - Clyde ASTON and Gladys TIGHE
and my mother's side I start with - William Isaac McANENEY and Beryl Beatrice STUART

Before coming to New Zealand they came from:

ASTON family come from Surrey, UK.

    TIGHE from NSW, Australia.

McANENEY from Sth Africa and Armagh, Ireland.

    STUART from Tasmania and Ireland.
Thank you Christina, I am slowly getting the hang of the site, Rose.

No problems - didn't even notice.
Think I will go for a walk around my section.
