    Thought I would look up myself and found my entry to be incorrect. Just wonder how many other entries may have mistakes. I have looked for my father but can't find him either!!

    Hi Tapper and welcome to the British-Genealogy forums.
    I think you may have come to us from Forces War Records so this will explain how you ended up with us.
    I am not sure what entries you are referring to for you and your father but if they are records on Forces War Records site then you can contact them from here
    Be aware that WW1 service records are only available on ancestry.com and Findmypast which are both pay per view sites and both do have free library versions so your local library may be able to help. WW11 service records are still held by the MoD but can be applied for using these forms.
    FWR does have a guide (as do all other sites mentioned) to what records they hold which you can read before committing to a subscription.
