    Default Wilde Family

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.

Thought I would try and focus on a part of my Mum's family that has one generation recorded so far with a potential father. There is another branch similar to this but I'll hold off so as to not have too much going and get myself confused

    Mary Ann Wilde
    b.17/11/1826
    Christened. 7/12/1826

    d.5/11/1911 Ovingham South Australia

Immigrated: 24/11/1845 on the Templar from London

    https://bound-for-south-australia.co...845Templar.htm

Married John William Platt 23/24 November 1850.

Have a father for her, Charles Wilde.

Trying to find more information on her parents and beyond and her birthdate.

Thank you and hope your year ahead is a good one.

    Where was Mary Ann christened?

I am a little bit confused by "potential father" and Charles Wilde? Can you elaborate a little bit further and is there a difference ?

I look at the link for the Templar you have and noticed that there isn't a 15 year old Mary Ann Wilde listed, but there is a 15 year old Mary Ann Webb ?

    Ah oops.

I do believe that I totally misread that passenger list. Thanks for the pickup ther.

What I meant by potential is that in my paperwork is written in pencil so I know that even though I have a name it's not 100 percent guaranteed to be the right person.

    Hope that helps

Get the Marriage Cert. first that will confirme the fathers name as that was the only census I found on Ancestry.
