In the 1911, Robert Alexander McLaren,fitter in marine works, living with widowed mother Margaret Newstead McLaren (age 44, b. Boston, Yorkshire, note that her parents were British)). In 1901 father given as b. Scotland abt 1854, steam ship engine driver. When parents were married 1894, groom was widower, father was John McLaren.
