    Default A strange address?

I have just received the 1848 death certificate of George Rounce Springall. The address for the death and the address of the informant are "Row b3 1/2 Yarmouth". Odd!

I 'Googled' the address as quoted and got images of what are very modern looking flats or starter homes.

Anyone know what the address would have been in 1848? I wondered if it was a workhouse sort of address or some sort of poor housing although I don't think George was destitute.

    Thank you!

If you search 'Great Yarmouth Rows' you'll get bags of returns detailing the history of The Rows, with maps and images.
