Ancestry also has a free weekend which started today, 7th November. I don't have details.

    Thanks for the heads-up, Chris.

Just to confirm, FMP's free access is from noon on Friday 8 November to noon on Monday 11 November.

    A reminder.
Download any records you find, otherwise you'll need to pay to access them after the free weekend.
It can also be a good idea to make a note of the dataset in which you found the record.

Although I haven't tried it, according to a thread in another place, FMP have disabled downloads for the duration of the free period, or if they do work, give you low resolution images. Check what, if anything, you are getting and be prepared to use one of the various screen saving methods instead (right click & save, Print Screen, snipping tool, etc.) Record where you found the record if it doesn't say on the screen.
