    Thanks for those, Mitch.

Lincolnshire FHS collect strays so I will forward the details to them.

Have found Francis Pilley's birth registration on FreeBMD, so will add a postem on there.
His marriage qualifies as a 'stray' entry, too.
At St Anne's, Bermondsey, on 13 December 1876 to Margaret Hannah GROOM. Francis' occupation was 'marriner'.

    Thanks Pam.

Ranson SHOTLIFF is neither the of the ones baptised in Lincolnshire in 1828 & 1849 as both are still alive and in the USA after this newspaper published.

On the 1841 census at North Forty Foot Bank(extraparochial) near Langrick there are a William(30), Ann(30) & Mary(1m) SHOTLIFFE but no sign of Ranson so bit of a mystery!

You are a little star, looking for Ranson. Thank you.
I did have a quick look, but couldn't find anything concrete on him, so put him on my 'look when I'm upstairs with access to everything' list.
