Forums are very easy to use. trust me, if I could manage to use one back in 2004, you can manage to use one in 2019!

Hopefully you know a little bit more about John than just his name. So tell us stuff such as when and where he was born, who he married and when, and when and where he died. Some of your knowledge might be a little vague - e.g. you know his wife was called Araminta, and that they had their first child in about 1932 in London, but you don't know when they actually married. With a bit of luck our sleuths can find those details for you and tell you the next steps to take.

When giving details try to keep fact and family stories separate. Sometimes there's a hint of truth in the family story, and sometimes it's just a big red herring.
