A little background information which is interesting, and adds a little to the narrative. Walter was born in Alexandria in May 1883, which means he was conceived in the final month of the Anglo-Egyptian War.

Wow, your family history research sounds fascinating, and I can understand how it can get quite complex and confusing at times.

I can send you a copy, if you like (just write me at [email protected])
Note that the first names are francisized; Antoine could be Anthony.

Les Planches is a village above Montreux that was fused to Montreux in 1962.
Veytaux is a village east of Montreux. The Rochers de Naye is an excursion mountain located in this community. It can be reached on a rack railway fom Montreux that was inaugurated in 1892. There used to be a hotel on top. Nowadays, there's just a restaurant, but they offer overnight accommodations in tibetan yurts.

    PS.
I also saw that a Fernando Vincenzo Inglott was customs officer in Malta; probably the father of Vincent Nicolas.
