I’m trying to find details of my grandfather who served in WW1 Royal Marines Light Infantry.
He was called up on the outbreak of war and was sent to East Africa on HMS Challenger in Feb 1916.
I can not find any details of his regiment in East Africa or any details of himself.he was invalided home in Dec 1918
Any help greatly appreciated

Welcome to British-Genealogy
If you came to us from Forces War Records reading this will explain the connection.
If you would like to give us your grandfather's name, date and place of birth we could try to see if there is anything to be found
