    Default RAMC and QARNNS

Hello - I am researching my parents' WW2 service. My mother was in the QARNNS and if anyone knows how to request her service record without knowing the service number, please let me know. My father was in the RAMC - I have a letter summarising his service record but I want to see the manuscript service record - I have written to the MoD and had no response - any help gratefully received. Best wishes - Kate

Hi Kate and welcome to the British-Genealogy forums
The MoD still holds service records from 1922 onwards and you can order them without knowing a service number. You will need 30 pounds, a copy of a death certificate and know the person's date of birth. This 'sticky' explains it all and gives a link to the site where you can download the application forms.
If you came to us from Forces War Records this will explain our connection.
