Was Hannah's maiden name Serjant? Married Richard Lindop on 28 April 1782, Norton in The Moors, Staffs? Is that your family tree on Ancestry?

Definitely non-conformity in that part of Wiltshire, and others would walk miles to attend church possibly from Dorset. You will need to access Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre for other records of Donhead St Mary and St Andrew. It is possible to go back a long way using other records, including wills (including PCC), land records and manorial documents. pwholt

Hannah Serjeant
Yes this is the Hannah who married Richard thank you, also found out that according to manorial records 1792 to 1803 Richard,s house was used for the special court of the Lord of the Manor at that time.
Local historian said usually held in a prominent building and as he lived in an area of Norton called "New Inn Bank". The only House of prominence in that area was the "Robin Hood and Little John Inn.
Other than that still do not know anything about Richard (birth or death) or Hannah (death).
Kind regards

Yes, Maiden name serjant born 1763 in Norton on the Moors, and, Yes she did marry Richard in 1782 but other than that I have nothing on either of them save children of which I am a descendant. No that tree was a research tree based on DNA and a number of errors occur within it.
