    Mis-filed as MARRATT in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

    William John Joseph HARRATT joined the Royal Engineers in October 1915, declared age 26y 8m, born Northampton.
    Served as Regt Nos. 3204 & 526235 until discharge in 1919.

    Home address: Northampton.
    Married EMILY WHITE in Northampton in 1913. (Surname not in the Record - GRO shows WHITE as mmn for children & for marriage)
    Children: Doris Evelyn 1915 & Leslie (John - GRO) 1916.

    Born, 29 Feb 1889. Dies, 20 Sept 1969 @ 60 Roe Road, Northampton. Same address in the 1939 Register.

    Wife Emily(9 July 1888),and daughter Doris E,(now Austin), and hubby Donald Austin.

    W.J.J.Harratt was a Tram conducter(1911), Corporation bus cleaner and Conducter.(1939).

    Mother Sarah Harratt(nee.Lea),c1866, Northampton, Widow.(1911 census).

    Sarah Lea, married William Harratt,4th Aug 1884, Hardingstone, N/Hants.
    Too many bones, too much sorrow, but until I am dead, there's always tomorrow.
