    Default MAIR, Alexander b c1894 - WW1

    Mis-filed as MARR in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

    Alexander MAIR, living in Toronto, CANADA when the Great War started, returned to Scotland in 1915. Attested November 1915, declared age 21y 186d, born NEW BYTH, Aberdeenshire.
    Served with the AVC (24135), transferred to the Labour Corps (588758), discharged late 1919 and applied for repatriation to Canada (appears to be granted but detail not shown).

    Mother: BARBARA (New Byth);
    Married 1916 at New Byth: NELLIE JOHNSTON.
    Children: NELLIE GRAY (or GRACE?) 1914; BARBARA ANN 1916; ALEXANDER 1918.
    Addresses in Aberdeenshire: Auchnagatt & New Pitsligo.
