    The one thing I never tried - Stefans as a surname.

    Though it still doesn't explain why searching for Maud, no surname, exact date of birth, and living London gives no result. The irony is that in the transcription the place is given as Bethnal Green London, but if you input Bethnal Green as a place they were living the only option you're given is Bethnal Green Middlesex. You actually have to type Bethnal Green London to be given that option.

    Hi Pam with ancestry you can enter all the correct details they have on their transcription and for some &**&^%$ reason it won't show then whe you do some fancy footwork it shows up!
    It's a whole morning away since I did it but I think I just entered P*y (no surname) with the birth date I got when I used the search you gave us. Luckily it was the first one in a list of 2000+. I am not going to try to replicate it.
