The first thing you need to do is to find out when Great Whyte Baptist church was built. (The churches section on the Genuki page for Ramsey unfortunately makes no mention of it. https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/HUN/Ramsey )
The church is still in use today, and if search not too hard on the internet you should be able to find a phone number. You could also ask if they know where any early records might be found.
However, if they say the church wasn't built until about the mid-1850s then there is this link for records
from 1853-1981
https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ails/c/F127870
Note that those records are held at Lincolnshire Archives. Unfortunately, they don't seem to include any details about baptisms, marriages, or burials.
Entering 'Great Whyte' into the 'any text' box of the advanced search option at Cambs and Hunts Archives
https://calm.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/calmview/
didn't bring up any results for the church.
Nor did entering 'Baptist church' into the 'title' box.
But there were some very interesting words on the page when I entered 'Great Whyte' into the 'description' box and then selected the 27th result. You need to start reading from the top of the page.
I would then suggest that you put Ibberson in at least the 'title' box.
And number 6 of 188 if you put Ibberson in the 'description' box is even more interesting.
Checking all that lot should keep you busy for a week.
Forgot to add that FamilySearch has a few Ibberson entries for the Baptist church in Bluntisham.

Has anyone checked whether the church is listed in the 1851 religious census? (it's online)

The other site you could try is the Huntingdonshire Look Up Exchange. It would be worth asking if Great Whyte is known as Ramsey, if you see what I mean!

Couldn't find any reference using Great Whyte, Ramsey, or Huntingdonshire
https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ils/r/C1359635
I haven't downloaded them because I have to go out so have no idea what, if anything, is listed for Ramsey.

Very many thanks, Pam. That really is most helpful. First of all, I have to say that I have found the Bluntisham Baptist Church entries. They do record the births of some of the children of my 3x g grandparents Isaac and Elizabeth IBBERSON, but not unfortunately of my gg grandmother, Mary IBBERSON. Also I have tried the advanced search on the Cambs and Hunts Archives web site, but with rather less success than you. I will certainly try the search strategy you suggest. What you found sounded most intriguing. Again, many thanks for looking into this for me and for passing on such useful tips.

This is certainly interesting, but the date of the mortgage given as 12 Jul 1844 would be a bit too late to be of interest if this does refer to the building of the Baptist Church.
This is most certainly very interesting. It refers to the transfer of title on 29 October 1806 for a piece of land on which is "a new chapel or meeting house recently built". As the IBBERSON family were nearly all Baptists, I think it is highly likely that they were giving the land for the building of the new Baptist Church. Incidentally, the John IBBERSON mentioned is my 3x great grandfather and Francis is my 4x g grandfather. It even tells me the date of Francis' PCC will.
I have tried to contact Great Whyte Baptist Church by e mail, and will post to the forum any relevant information I get.

I have now heard back from Great Whyte Baptist Church and this is what they say:
"The current building was constructed in 1894 however we understand there was a previous building on the site of which there is a date stone re-built into the current building of 1805
Regarding records unfortunately we do not have any records of any kind."
This is rather what I feared, but what is interesting is that the date of 1805 on the old foundation stone built into the present church building rather ties up with the date of 1806 on the legal demise document in the Huntingdon Archives that Pam brought to my attention.
