    Default Maxfield/Crofts

    Folks,
I have the following people from Longbridge Deverill causing me some confusion.
    Thomas Maxfield b 1777 s/o Stephen and Elizabeth,my line.
Thomas Maxfield b 1776 s/o William and Mary
Ann Crofts b 1777 d/o James and Eleanor
Ann Crofts b 1778 d/o Thomas and Hannah

In 1797 Thomas marries Ann Crofts
In 1806 Thomas marries Ann Compton
In 1820 Thomas marries Rebekah Payne

I had purchased PR's on microfiche but they seem to have absconded during a house move.
Nothing further on familysearch.org or Freereg.
I won't be surprised if this is a brickwall, just posting in hope.

There is a tree on Ancestry which has

Thomas Maxfield son of William & Mary
    Marraige 1797
Ann Croft’s daughter of James & Eleanor

    They have 8 children.

    Ann died 1819.

Thomas remarries 1820 to Rebekah Payne

    1 child.

Ancestry & FMP have some records for Thomas s/o Stephen & Elizabeth.

    Hope this helps a little.

There is another tree which has Thomas S/O Stephen & Elizabeth Moger marrying Rebekah Payne!

The 2 trees look as though they have mixed the families and other resources.

    Pam,
One of the trees will be mine which is mostly wrong!I was unaware of another Thomas and Ann until i was given hints for Ann and realised my error.I suspect that even the original PR's will not differentiate the correct couples.
I will leave this in abeyance.
    Thanks for your response.
