Hi
I received this army badge from my Dad’s uncle who was in World War II. Link below.
Does anyone know what it’s for?
Kind regards
Bren

Hi Bren,
I've moved this thread to the more relevant 'Military - Army' forum.
There's quite a few other queries in this forum about badges, so you might find some places to look in those answers.
One word of warning - unless your uncle actually said 'this was mine', don't assume that it's British. Soldiers often used to swap badges, so it could be Norwegian, Polish, American, etc.
For images, it's best to use an 'independent' site such as Photobucket or imgur because to see the link you have to sign into Ancestry and not everyone has an Ancestry subscription.

Hi Pam
Good point. Didn’t think of that.
Unfortunately his war memorabilia was only discovered after he died with his army service and pay book. So we don’t know if it belong to him or not.

It's the badge of the British 14th Army.
Wikipedia has details of the 14th's composition and theatres of war.
