Ellen's marriage to Alfred William Collingbourne liste her father as Thomas a carpenter (deceased)
I did notice that, and it did make me question if I had the right Ellen, I know people do change information as they go along!
I found Ellen on the 1939 census living with her daughter Ellen (who is Rosina Ellen) in St Leonard Street. I know it's her because I found her on the electoral register the previous year at the same address living with Ellen and Herbert.. which I know are both her children.
She gives her birth year as 1874 though, which doesn't match previous estimates of around 1868?

Thank you, this must be the elusive Julia who appears on the 1911 census as a 20 year old but I can find no birth record for her, although I found one for her brother and sister.
