    Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums
if you came to us from Forces war records reading this will explain the connection.

Can you give us some dates to help in the search? Where and when william was born. Wife and children? Any little bit of info that will sort him out from the many William Moor(e)s that are listed in the Canada, British Regimental Registers of Service, 1756-1900.

William Moore was born in Tamlock, County Tyrone in 1786. He served as a Royal Driver and received a medal. He came to Canada and was married around 1815. This may have been a second marriage as his son gave his place of birth as Quebec. He received a pension and family lore says he had an artificial hand. He died in 1851 in Perth. Ontario
