Thank you! For clarity... is that "born Arnold" meaning surname Arnold?

Apologies for any confusion - William Hallam's birthplace on the '51 Census was "Arnold, Notts" - as reflected in the baptismal record..

Next door is another Hallam family, and the Head, Henry Hallam, 35, Framework Knitter was born East Leake - which is also the birth place of William's father John Hallam.

Will check for possible connection.

The certificate states that they were both widowed and he was from Nottingham. A surprise to me, since most of my ancestors are from Warwickshire and Staffordshire!

These are counties which are either adjacent to one another or very close to one another.
