Lesley was suggesting that you also search under the surname Wallis because spelling back then was very fluid. This is very true of Catherine's surname too although it does appear consistent on ScotlandsPeople.
Her birth reg is on there 1876 ref 282/3 275 St Clement. If you buy some credits and download her birth certificate it will give her parent's names which will take you back further on your tree.

This could be John Walls birth reg on ScotlandsPeople. There are others but this is also the right year of birth according to the censuses.

Just got around to looking at my computer this morning and see you have sent me another piece of information. Thanks very much again Christina, very grateful for your help.

Chris is right, surname spelling back then was flexible (to be polite). You gave your name, the clerk wrote it down. Nobody seems to have worried. On a couple of my families, I have 7 or more spelling variations.
When you get to your Scottish searches, there's a collection of "Howto" messages HERE.

BTW The marriage cert that Chris found in #9 will give you their parents and the occupations of all 3 men and the bride at the time of the marriage.

Since the surname McIntasney does not appear in "Surnames of Scotland" (which does not mean that it doesn't occur in Scotland, just that it probably didn't originate there), I had a look at its distribution using FamilySearch.org (reliable-ish up to 1875). There only seems to be one or two families in Scotland, in the Dundee area (11 hits). Parents Bernard McIntasney and Catherine McAllister.

The 1881 census for Scotland has a family headed by Patrick & Alice McIntasney (transcribed by Ancestry as Mc Intasney). also in the Dundee area. All born Ireland.

Still searching! I have come across a birth record for Francis G WALLS, mothers name McIntasney b.1915 Ashton Under Lyne. Its the same area and the year could just about be the same mother Catherine but can't find a father. I have a Francis G Walls in the Tree but not born until 1940 and I have his mother as Price. The name McIntasney is so unusual it would be a big coincidence to have the Walls name involved. Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the same Francis but in 1939 there is a Francis G Walls, born 1915, who is a Student of Theology in Lanchester, Durham. Catherine and John are living in Crompton, Lancs, no children with them.
