Seeking army records

Albert Hylands Eastbourne who was married to Louise Hylands and he died 29th Sept 1918 in France . Trying to find any pictures of him

Archie Grayling Eastbourne who was married To Constance Holder and he died in 1962. I am trying to find his army records . We know he was in either the Labour Corps or the pioneer Corps . I cant find anything on him at all .

Geoffrey w or Jeffrey E Berry Worthing West Sussex who we believe was a coldstream guard but again unable to find anything on him .

Be grateful for any any info anyone can give me

If you came to us from Forces War Records this will explain our connection.

Just to sort out who served in which war. If any of those records you want are for WW11 they will still be held by the MoD as they hold all service records from 1921 onwards. Here is the 'sticky' which explains and gives a link where you can download application forms - at a cost.
WW1 service records are online and are licensed to Findmypast and ancestry. Both are pay per view sites and both do have a free library vesrion. Your local library may be able to help with one of them.
60% plus of WW1 service records were destroyed by bombing/fire in WW11 so you have to be lucky to find the ones you want surviving. However the Medal Card Index rolls survive as do the Medal and Award records so you may find the ones you want on there but it is a very rare occurrence for them to have any personal information and if the ones you seek are common names it can be difficult/impossible to identify them with any degree of certainty. Men didn't always join up to a regiment close to home
If you want to give us some dates, places of birth, parents, marriage dates for those who served in WW1 we can take a look for you.

Your Albert Hylands was married to Emily. His mother's name was Louisa according to the CWCG memorial and the 1911 census

Son of Louisa Goldsmith (formerly Hylands) and the late Joseph Hylands; husband of Emily Hylands, of The Arlington Arms, 480, Seaside, Eastbourne.
His Medal Roll Index card is on ancestry but doesn't have any personal information. He received the Victory and British medals.
You can search for the War diaries for his regiment which will give you a general idea of where he served and when but again not mentioned by name.

So Archie Grayling was born 1911 therefore he served in WW11 so no online service records available
