    Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums
I am no good at identifying uniforms but there are others who can help.
What I can tell you is that service records from 1921 onwards are still held by the MoD but can be applied for. What you will need is 30 pounds, a copy of the death certificate and the birth date. You don't need regiment or service number. This link explains all and gives a link where you can download the application forms. Read them carefully because the information you receive depends on your relationship to the serviceman and his death date.

As Chris said, welcome to the British Genealogy Forum.
The photo mostly just shows the rank insignia from the uniform - other details such as the cut of the tunic (and sometimes the buttons), and anything on the collar and shoulders as well as the hat, if it's in the photo, are all important.
It would also be useful if you confirm that it's a UK uniform, and that it's expected to be army.

    Hi

Do you mean you have attached the whole photo, if so, please try again? You just copied the photo of the shoulder.
I would probably say WW2 British service. As Christina said above, you need to apply for his service records with MOD.
