    Default Hello from Australia

    Hi everyone,

I am an Ex-pat Brit living in Australia.

I have tracing the family on and off for a few years, but since the death of my last Uncle a few years ago, my siblings and I have realized how little we knew about what family members did during the war. We have photos and some documentation, but I am going through each of my Father's siblings trying to fill the gaps.

    🙂

Welcome to British-Genealogy forums from another ex-Brit who lived in Oz for 50 years.

If you came to us from Forces war records reading this will explain why you landed here.

If it is WW11 you are researching then the Ministry of Defence still holds those UK service records and are not to be found online.
The National Archives,herehttps://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/, do have some War Diaries. Click on the red menu dot then on Research guides A-Z and follow through on W.

If you need help just pick a suitable forum, tell what you know and what you are hoping to find out and it won't be too long before help arrives.
