    Default A very Shaky hint!

I am sure that all of us who have Ancestry trees have occasionally rolled our eyes at some of the bizarre hints that their software suggests to us might relate to one of our ancestors, but tonight I found a corker!

For my 3 x great grandfather, Henry John, 1773-1855 from Pembrokeshire I was offered a hint from the “Dictionary of National Biography, Volumes 1-22”, as follows:

Now whilst not my ancestor he must have found the recipe for a long life ................. 177 years!

The truth being more prosaic in that the birth year relates to the entry preceding this person, but why spoil a good laugh.

I don't think I want the recipe thanks

When I pay my sub to ancestry not only do I get access to all their records it also includes entertainment at no extra cost. Funnier than most of the comedies seen on screen these days.
