Hiya, I'm trying to find who was living in an address in 1937..
Can anyone advise how I go about this please?..

Details I have..

Violet Whinifred Bulmer born 1937

Her Mother Emily Bulmer born??

Berth certificate has no father mentioned.
When born they Lived at 5 Carpenter Square, Thornaby

Just wanting to see if anyone else was living at the property then.

You want the electoral rolls, though the most important thing to remember is that only people who were old enough to vote (and in 1937 that would be 21 or over) will be listed.

Because Thornaby has been 'moved around a bit' authority-wise I would suggest you start with Thornaby Town Council to see if they know who will hold the electoral rolls for that era. Then perhaps try Stockton and Middlesborough.
