I have a standard postcard from a German POW camp in 1918 of which the writer is Captain Ernest Wiggans. His regiment is given as ACC.I understood that to be Army Catering Corps but that wasn't formed until 1941-prior to which each regiment had their own cooks.Any ideas?

There is a PoW card for a Captain David Ernest Wiggans of the Army Cyclist Corps. Mentions a sister, Florence B Wiggans of 8 Monmouth Avenue, Walmersley Road, Bury
ADDED: PoW records give DoB as 26 Jun 1888 (or 1880) at “Southport, Bury, Lancs” and also mentions Mr D Wiggans 8 Kronmouth Avenue, Walmersley Road, Bury (father?)
