Hi
Ester Thornton was born abt 1827 in Flintshire, I believe her parents could be Thomas Thornton born abt 1791 and Susan born abt 1791 this is what I found on the 1841 census.
I have been trying to find a baptism for Ester or a marriage for her parents with no luck so far.
I believe Ester married William Jenkins they lived in and around Buckley.
any help would be very much appreciated.

Flintshire baptisms, marriages and burials (indexed, and with images) are available on Findmypast, and have the three events you listed. (Haven't checked for baptisms of Ester's siblings, or any of her children, etc.)
Clik on 'search' in the top banner, and select 'A-Z record sets'. Type Flintshire, and then select whichever of baptisms, marriages or burials you want to search first.
Although the index just says 'banns' for Thomas and Susannah's marriage in 1810, if you read the whole document it does give details of the marriage.
Note also that most entries for Ester spell her name as Esther.

Just remembered -
I should have said, that if you haven't already got a sub to FMP, then you can possibly take a free 14-day trial (if you haven't done so previously. Remember to untick the auto-renew box.); your local library might have it available for free; or take out a one-month sub.
Re the latter, see here for an offer of a half-price month's or possibly three month's sub.

William Thornton Bristol 1799
Ulster 23 March
Hi,
I don’t know if this is relevant but I found some correspondence from the Master of the sloop Lord Nelson requesting permission for a 15 year old passenger, William Thornton Son of Arran Stewart to disembark. William born at ?????ford did not have a passport due to “His Majesties late proclamation was not known at ???ford when the vessel sailed”
He is to go into the care of friends at Kensington to be apprenticed in London
I can’t figure out the Master’s first name but his surname looks like Walsh. It is addressed to a Duke. I’m not very good at deciphering. There is probably a transcription on the web site but it the pages are so slow to load I am loath to search for it.
