    SULSON, JOHN
    Mother's maiden surname: GAINER
GRO Reference: 1841 J Quarter in NEWTOWN AND LLANIDLOES Volume 27 Page 129

This birth appears in the FreeBMD indexes under the surname SULOVON.

I am pretty sure that this family appears in the 1851 census at Ulverstone under the surname SOLOMAN and in the 1841 census at Newtown in Montgomeryshire as SULLIVAN.

Father is Florence, and it is Mary's brother who is named John.

I think you are right on all counts. Well done Dundee10!
Florence seems a popular first name among the male Sullivans.
Probably they were Roman Catholic which is why no Baptisms
    are apparent.
Cork seems to be where most Sullivans are from.
