Have just come across an entry in London gazette for Thomas hall in 1857. I am assuming that it is a bankruptcy case, but it is just among a list of people appearing in court, no results. Have googled every which way but can't find the result of the hearing. Any suggestions please.
Cheers. Ed

Can't copy the entry
Just the edition details would have done eg
Publication date:
18 September 1857
Issue:
22041
Page:
3170
Details of the court are on the preceding page ie "Court for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors".
Don't forget the important distinction between insolvent debtors and bankrupts.

Thank you for that, Peter, no matter how I tried I could not get to the previous page to see the heading. More research needed. The gazette has fascinating stuff but not exactly user friendly indexing. It seems to me that it's fine if you know what you are looking for but otherwise...

Swings and roundabouts ain't it! The tablet is on my lap in my recliner and the pc is upstairs in the spare room. So the tablet is a pain but so are my knees going upstairs. Do you remember "life gets teejus, don't it?"
