    Default Ship - Mary Blundell

I am looking for general information about this ship. The only information I have so far is that it possibly left Andaman (Bay of Bengal) in 1878 en route to the U.K. I have a note that George Perry was engaged as an A.B. on this ship on the 25th June, 1878 and that his place and date of last discharge was Andaman. Google didn't help with this at all, and sites like the Ships List also came up dry. I would appreciate some guidance please if anyone is in a position to assist. This is another ancestor who seems to have walked off his ship so there is no immigration record for him. Thank you, J

There are several items on the internet of the barque Mary Blundell.

For example there is a painting shown on the following site:

Also there is an interesting article and sketch on TROVE of the barque catching fire on the Yarra river.

Thank you for those links to the Mary Blundell. Tracking down the movements of a sailor is tricky. I think my next task is to check the Shipping News for Port Adelaide. I've copied this from my other thread. J
