    The trouble with the accident is that the 1950s are a bit modern for many online privacy regulations, especially medical records. I think that this is too modern, even, for FWR.

    Your best bet is going to be the newspapers, I think. It looks as though Megan has checked everywhere that I would have looked, but you could try the local paper where ever he or his family were living (local interest) or the army's equivalent to "Air Force News".

    I did tell you that you'd get help if you provided a little info... It might help if you added his regiment, number and (if you know it) when the accident happened (assuming that I haven't missed a post with that info...).

    I don't know how helpful this will be as I've never needed to do much with military records, but it might give a few ideas.
