Seems BALL was her middle name (could be her mother's maiden name), more searching may tell us.

Although my Cocking relatives are not in Cornwall I would be interested in contacting anyone who has researched the name. My Cocking(s) ancestor is said to come from Derbyshire although married in Prestwich in Manchester.

    Hi Neil
I have an ancestor called Elizabeth Cocking(s) who married in Prestwich Manchester but says that she was born in Derbyshire on the census entries. She is a significant brick wall for me so I would be interested in contacting someone who has researched the name.

Neil - If you have any of your Cocking's appearing in Chesterfield area, I know of someone there who has researched the name.

    Hello Margaret
I have just picked up on your post from June re the Cockings. If you are still searching for your lot can I suggest you start your own thread about your brickwall and we will see if we can help break it down.
