Place and date of marriage is in the 6th column, but we don't know which birth you are interested in. The first looks like Kilmore, Vic but I really can't read the page either.

Thank you Pam, the country is Australia, i know my Great Grandmother was born in Yarrawonga ,Victoria, her name is Leighe, Constance Floyd, ( or as my relatives called her Leah),i have trouble reading the marriage place of her Parents, it may be a bit of a stretch of the truth, as to their marriage, as as at present i cannot find the marriage at all.

Is it the part which starts - 31st March 1881? If so could the place be Numurkah?

I am unfamiliar with Australian place names, again a map helped.

Very likely, Alma. And a brilliant find if you only found it by looking at a map.
I'd got it beginning Num or Nun with kah/koh/possibly kal/kol at the end.

I tried to find a list of places in Victoria, but couldn't find any likely place listed. I've suddenly realised why - I was looking under K instead of N.

This isn't the original site I found, but it does list a lot of places. Click on the place name for history.

That's a brilliant site, Pam, and will prove most useful for future Australian place names. Should it be a sticky?

I've suggested that and some similar ones to Christina, who I regard as in charge of the Aussie stickies.

Brilliant find Pam and I agree with Alma should be a sticky.

Did either of you notice the two following places:- Nunawading and Nungurner.

    Do I need to elaborate?

No Nunnery connected to either place as far as I can tell.
