No doubt you are aware that there is a body of opinion that believes that DNA ethnicity testing is meaningless.

Thank you very much for all that information. You make it look so easy! 😀 It's a lot to digest, but so helpful. I am brand new to this, and I live in Australia so, although a lot of info is online, I do feel the distance makes it harder.
I hadn't ever heard the name Verity connected to the family, so I'm glad you confirmed that they are not connected to me after all.
I'll look at what you've supplied, see which men might be of the right age to have fought in the Boer War, and see what that throws up.
