I have been pursuing my family history for some years on and off. At present I have hit a 'brickwall' all round. My particular problem is that my 4xGrandfather was born in St.Vincent, West Indies and I have no other lead. He was in the Royal Navy but all I have from records is the ships he sailed in. I really do not know where to go from here.

Hallo jambarvia and a warm welcome to British Genealogy. We have a lot of members who are brick wall demolition experts and love a challenge, so have a good look round and then post details of your quest in the appropriate place. We do have a section devoted to West Indies genealogy at https://www.british-genealogy.com/fo...dies-Genealogy
