A few years ago I posted a very limited cry for help after spending over a year trying to find out something about my grandmother. That very day I received several messages that lifted the weight and my spirits and I sent a letter off to Barnardos as the thought was she was a Barnardos child. She was indeed! A year after a request to them I received beautiful pictures, copies of handwritten notes and answers to so many questions.
A year ago I put everything together and presented copies of all I found out to my brothers and sisters at Christmas time.
Without this forum and all your help I would still be looking in all the wrong places. Thank you so much!

Good to hear Elaine. I have moved this from Introduce Yourself to Success Stories.

Thank you for coming back to tell us about your success story Elaine. Besides making us feel 'warm and fuzzy' at helping someone it also encourages us to keep on trying to solve ours and others mysteries.
