Maria was baptised 21 August 1800 in Old Leake, daughter of John and Phebe Bland.
From the entry it looks as if there were two children baptised that day, Maria and her sister Mary Anne. https://www.

Mary Ann was a witness at John and Maria's marriage. https://www.

In the 1841 census John says he was born 'out of county' and in 1851 he tries to be helpful by saying Norfolk but he could have been a little more helpful and said a place as well. His marriage just says 'of this parish' (i.e. Old Leake) but that merely means he was living there for at least three weeks prior to his marriage, so not a lot of help there.
From some Norfolk records I have, I've found the following baptisms:
John Wilkin, son of Matthew and Elizabeth (nee Aldridge), 1 June 1794, Old Catton
John Wilkin, son of John and Elizabeth, 9 June 1799, Shouldham All Saints
John Wilkin, son of Henry and Lucy, 1799, West Rudham
John Wilkin, son of Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Bex), 1801, Great Ryburgh
These are Wilkins
John (born 1793), son of George and Persis (nee Knight), 6 August 1794, Great Yarmouth St Nicholas
John, son of Giles and Mary (nee Caulk), 16 December 1798, Neatishead
John, son of Jno and Mary (nee Wicks), 16 March 1795, Wells next the sea but you can rule him out because he was buried 31 December 1795.
I haven't checked FreeREG or FamilySearch.
You might like to check https://www.doun.org/transcriptions/index.php for variants of Wilkin(s).

Pam, we have checked Family Search. We don't see Maria listed under John and Phebe. Mary Ann is there. Maria was born a year earlier so should be there.
We registered at Lincstothepast.com. can we access the same records you referred to in your response.

Check out the third link I gave you ( the URL is split over two lines). From memory Mary Anne is listed first and then Maria on the same line of the register. It was only the fact that I had access to other indexes that made me realise there were two names. I suspect that the Family Search transcriber missed that vital detail. Easily done because the clarity of entries on the page is not that brilliant.
Are you basing 'Maria was born a year earlier' on census ages/age at burial? Back in those days the year you were born/your age at any given point of your life did tend to be a bit flexible. It's surprising how many people only age five years between censuses taken ten years apart.
Admittedly it doesn't say 'twin daughters' (you would need to check other pages in the register to see if the vicar did ever use the phrase) but I wouldn't be in the least surprised if they were. In those days, given the infant mortality rate, the majority of children were baptised soon after birth.

Hello,
Jumping in here....
Working on the same line. John Wilkin and Maria Bland...I'm descended from Noah Wilkin who immigrated to US. I'm doing well on the Blands so far, but John Wilkin has me perplexed. Following your progress and will hope to find something to contribute, as well.

Hi Cousins,
I am Amos Wilkin's great granddaughter. Your wife is related to which of Noah's children?
