Prior to 1 July 1837 we are dependent on Parish Records, therefore it may be prudent to look at some of the records given to you off the transcribed familysearch site at a centre close to you. You can order the films of the registers to browse, there maybe a small cost involved

I went to the LDS Church at Charlestown today where the Family History Research Centre is. To discover they no longer have operating hours and it is by appointment only.
I was informed that at one stage they had a break in and some of their equipment had been stolen.
