Edward LOWE was living with a Sarah LOWE who was aged 65 in 1841. His mother perhaps? William and Samuel were also with him in 1851 so probably from a first marriage.

Well spotted Dundee!! The image of Edward's marriage to Charlotte BARKER in 1844 at Loughborough is on FMP and does indeed give his father and father's occupation which ties in beautifully with the information Shirl already has from the marriage of Ann LOWE to William GEE.
1841 census of Loughborough (HO107/595/10, folio 25, page 4) shows Edward LOWE living at King Street with a Sarah LOWE aged 65 born in the county.
