It's very easy to find out where records are thanks to the Hospital Records Database

    https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/h...chdatabase.y=0

Records are at what is now called the Kent History and Library Centre.

You didn't mention a date so can't give more detailed advice.

PS Records are filed under the name "Oakwood Hospital".

The Kent Archives catalogue is here...

    https://www.kentarchives.org.uk/CalmV...g&id=MH-Md%2f2

Click on the "FindingNo" to start drilling down into the catalogue.

Please shout for advice on how to deal with "Closed" records.
