I know not everyone has the dosh to join all the various Ancestry holdings. I was lucky enough to win an enhanced membership through a photo-captioning contest. The membership immediately prompted me
to look at "new" records added to The FOLD3.
There are a bunch of new ones that folks with British service members might like
UK, Royal Air Force Airmen Records, 1918-1940
Royal Navy Registers of Seamen Services
and the one that caught my eye
British Military Discharge Indexes
and UK, Courts Martial Registers
There was this family story about my great grandfather.........
Well lo and behold, there he was! And I'll let you read the rest over on my blog

Sorry, the page in this blog does not exist.
Too many bones, too much sorrow, but until I am dead, there's always tomorrow.

You have to copy and paste both lines of the URL into your browser. I was told that that was part of the rules here. Something about cookies or advertising. So look carefully at my post and you'll see I hit return and broke it in parts.
