    Default Dysart records Morrison Wilson

Very many of my ancestors hail from Dysart, Fife - names Morrison, Wilson to start with. Anyone who may have records or info - especially those who study the history and people of this place, would very much hope to speak with!

There has been notable dispute elsewhere about missing records, or how and why - on that point, specifically searching info for May 27, 1816 marriage in Dysart, Fife of James Morrison and Catherine Wilson. Records or info about his death in 1825, or his ancestry are very much of interest! As well as birth info for their 4 children there.

She later remarried to Thomas Nicol, 1827 in St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian - very large family eventually immigrated to NYC, S.S. Science, 18 June 1835 - couple years after, went to Huron, Ontario. Mystery of great interest...they have countless descendants named Erskine, no idea why, can't seem to trace any reason...still searching.

Anyone with ideas, perhaps even volunteer groups or organizations who study these things would certainly like to speak with - thanks for any help or suggestions!
